Has the powers and duties prescribed by city ordinance and state statute, including Planning and Zoning law, the Subdivision Map Act, CEQA; is designated as the board of permit appeals for decisions of the zoning administrator; is the board of zoning adjustment. This decision making body receives a small compensation for participation. The Commission meets twice a month in the Council Chambers. All meetings are televised on Wave Cable.

Meetings
This commission meets at 6:00 PM on the 1st & 3rd Thursday of every month in the Council Chambers. All meetings are broadcast live on WAVE Cable channel 20 and AT&T channel 99; and replayed the following Friday at 12:00 PM and Sunday at 3:00 PM. The commission is staffed by the Community Development Department (617-4645).
